Aphasie Rive-Sud is a non-profit organization and was created as an initiative of the community on January 21, 2003. The members of the founding committee were Léandre and Hélène Joannette, Luc and Chantal Gonthier, Nathalie Demers, Anne-Marie Delmas, Alain and Eileen Dornier.

Over the years, our organization has grown according to the needs and initiative of its members. Our premises were on rue Grand in Longueil, then in Brossard, followed by a return to Longueil on rue Ste-Hélène and finally in a room of the Maison des Tournesols in Saint-Hubert.

Our participants and members come from municipalities along the river from Varennes to Candiac, from Ste-Julie, St-Bruno, Ste-Madeleine, Chambly, St-Jean-sur-le-Richelieu to St-Cyprien de Napierville.

In this way, allows communities to develop the power to act and take charge of their future. It makes it possible to acquire the infrastructure and tools to adequately meet its own needs. It also allows the Community Organization to stay connected to the realities of families and to social changes…
